Yet Another Zombie Survivors How to Survive Bio Lab

A ring with fumes at the edge and a red band that punishes camping.

Bio Lab Walkthrough

Bio Lab is the fifth map and the loudest 1.0 geography change. The studio framed it as the facility whose experiments started the apocalypse. The mechanical framing is a circle. Borders are toxic fumes. A decontamination cycle paints a red danger zone. If you play it like Isolated City’s parking lot, you die to the environment before the horde finishes the job. Unlock it by winning Default on the previous map in the chain. Details of that chain sit on the maps walkthrough. This page is the ring exam.

Do not farm Huntress, Ghost, or Medic here. Isolated City still has the honest clock and no poison rim. Bio Lab is for a squad that already kites spitters, already finished a rifle or rocket line, and already owns a shield. Ranger’s Fear and crit aura were clearly aimed at this place, but an unranked Ranger lead is still a bad first drop. Rescue her. Rank her later on Ranger.

How the circle kills you

Toxic border: hugging the fumes to “stay away from the blob” cooks you. Red decontamination: camping the exact center until the band arrives is a wipe. Safe play is an orbit. Move with the current safe band. Treat the red the way you treat a worm telegraph on Vile Wasteland: see it, leave it, do not reverse through it for a chest.

High-tech enemies hit harder than city trash. Elite wind-ups in Endurance scale. Weapon range matters more because the arena is open. Shotguns fall off. Rockets and rifles stay honest. Huntress likes mid-range. Read weapon tiers if your dawn dies with a pretty pistol.

Default, then the rest

Default dawn is still about twenty minutes and still the key that unlocks this map’s other modes. Endurance here is a flex, not a classroom. Hardcore here assumes city Hardcore is already a badge; use How to beat Hardcore first. Boss Rush on Bio Lab is a finale plus a ring. Do city Boss Rush before this one: How to beat Boss Rush. One Hit is a five-minute joke exam. Do not bring Glass Cannon unless a shield is already up. Items already said that.

Extermination-style wave pressure from Green Hell’s era still exists as a mode family. If a clipboard in the Camp asks for Bio Lab Extermination, read game modes and HUB quests before you accept.

Squads for the ring

First clear: SWAT lead, Engineer, Tank. Shield plus rifle plus rockets. Orbit. Do not plant every turret on the geometric center. Second clear: swap Tank for Huntress if Eagle Eye is online. Third: rescue Ranger after ranks, still lead SWAT until Fear has a gun behind it. Mechanic ice can freeze a lane if Engineer is already present. Pyro fire is optional spice, not a plan. Medic lead is a badge run, not a geometry teacher.

Training: Role Player so evolutions arrive before the red cycle feels personal, Gotta Go Fast so the orbit is free, cooldown for the shield, never to zero. Training is the refund page. Prestige and Torments make the ring meaner on purpose; that is prestige, not a first-week chore.

Story without a dump

The question the studio printed is whether the virus or human greed started this. You do not need the answer to kite. You need the red band. If a quest wants flavor, take it after Default is a badge. The Camp will still be there.

Bring the squad planner if you are about to triple Medic for a laugh. Bring the unlock checklist if you are not sure Bio Lab is even legal yet. Bring Isolated City if the ring already killed you twice. The city is still the school. Bio Lab is the exam that paints the floor.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

How do I unlock Bio Lab?

Win Default on the previous map in the chain. It is not a starting stage.

Why do I die with no zombies on me?

Toxic borders or the decontamination red zone. Orbit the safe band. Do not camp the center.

Should I farm unlocks here?

No. Isolated City is faster and has no poison rim.

Is Ranger required?

No. Ranked SWAT, Engineer, and Tank still clear Default if you learned the city.
